Why we do it

When schools and clubs travel with us — whether it’s Malaysia, Argentina, Jamaica or South Africa — we encourage every group to give back to the communities that host them.

Supporting local initiatives deepens cultural understanding, strengthens friendships and helps students see the world through a wider lens.

Charity involvement enriches each tour and gives players a sense of purpose, gratitude and connection that stays with them long after they return home.

Our charity partner

We’re proud to partner with Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, an incredible organisation close to our Head Office in Brighton.

Rockinghorse is dedicated to improving the lives of sick and disabled children across Sussex, working with:

  • The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital
  • The Trevor Mann Baby Unit
  • Paediatric wards and healthcare teams across the region

Their mission — to support children and families through medical care, specialist equipment and child-friendly spaces — aligns perfectly with our belief in making every moment count both on and off the field.

Community projects we support

Over the years, our charity projects have grown from personal connections made on tour, partnerships with local schools and clubs, and our desire to leave every destination better than we found it. Here are some of the impactful initiatives we champion:

The Goedgedacht Trust, South Africa

Based on a Cape Dutch farm, this community development centre supports rural children and young people in the Western Cape. Many families face long-term poverty, often exacerbated by the historic “dop system” of alcohol-based payment on wine farms. The trust provides safety, education and support to help break cycles of disadvantage.

Inspire Children and Youth, South Africa

Run by Ingrid Lestrade, Inspire provides essential services — food, shelter, toilets, activities and nurturing spaces — to restore dignity and create opportunity for children and young people in rural farming communities.

The Foundation of Goodness, Sri Lanka

After the 2004 tsunami devastated thousands of lives, we began supporting the Foundation of Goodness. This incredible organisation delivers programmes in:
Women’s empowerment · Youth development · Special needs · Sports · Water & environment
It provides long-term community support in rural Sri Lanka, helping families rebuild their lives.

Tsunami Relief & Community Support, Sri Lanka

Our touring teams have helped rebuild playgrounds at Sri Lankan schools and donated sports equipment to local communities — an effort we continue to support.

Lelapa Restaurant, Langa Township, South Africa

We’re proud to have supported the inspiring Sheila Mahloane in establishing Lelapa, now a thriving township restaurant celebrating authentic South African cuisine and community life.

SKRUM, Eswatini (former Swaziland)

SKRUM combines rugby coaching with HIV/AIDS education, offering vulnerable children hope, guidance and life skills. Their work in Eswatini supports orphans and young people facing significant health and social challenges.

School Donations, Pacific Islands

We donate to every school that hosts a touring team in the Pacific Islands. Many groups also raise their own funds or bring sporting equipment to donate, helping local students access better resources and facilities.

How you can get involved

If your school or club would like to support a project during your tour, we can help arrange:

  • Fundraising activities
  • Donations or kit drop-offs
  • Community coaching sessions
  • Cultural or volunteer visits

These experiences not only help local communities — they also give players powerful memories and a deeper understanding of the world around them
