On Sunday 19th February a team of Edwin Doran staff took on the challenge of the Hampton Court Half Marathon.

The group were running in aid of Team George. A charity set up to support a young pupil of Stamford School who was injured playing Rugby on a sports tour in Cape Town.

After months of training 16 staff members gathered on Sunday morning to take on the challenge. The team did an excellent job, we are incredibly proud of everyone and pleased to say all completed the 13.1 mile course.

Sam Seward, managing director of Edwin Doran attended the race to cheer the team on:

“I’m very proud of the team for putting themselves through so much effort to raise money for such a brilliant cause.”

Sam even hopped on a bike to offer words of encouragement to the team throughout the course.

The team are delighted to have completed the challenge, Jon Chowney who ran with Edwin Doran commented:

“We are all over the moon to have smashed our fundraising target, it definitely gave us the boost we needed to cross the finish line. The #TeamGeorge charity is close to all of our hearts here at Edwin Doran and we are so pleased to have been able to raise this money for them.”

The runners raised a total of £5,026 for Team George. We would like to thank everyone who donated and supported the team. If you would like offer any final sponsorship please visit the Just Giving page of Edwin Doran’s Head of Sales, Toby Douglas to make a donation.
