In my first month at EDST it has quickly became apparent that I am the token Welshman/Village Idiot in the office!

I graduated from Northumbria University in 2006 with a degree in Sports Development and Coaching. Since then I have tried my hand as a Community Rugby Coach in Newcastle and as a teaching assistant in a school in Dorset. Like most others, my love for sport and travelling has brought me to work here at Edwin Doran Sports Travel.

My own experiences of travel have been fairly diverse, taking me from Myddfai to Manhattan and Sydney to Siberia. I have also been lucky enough to spend 16 months in New Zealand, my first visit as a school ‘Gap Assistant’ and the second coaching junior rugby for Nelson Bays Rugby Union. My second visit in 2005 also happened to coincide with a certain Lions Tour!

Outside of work I am hoping to join London Welsh RFC and then emulate the likes of Tom Shanklin in gaining international and Lions honours!

My most satisfying experience working for EDST:  My first few weeks of working at EDST have been very enjoyable and I am really excited about what the future holds.

All time favourite sporting moment: Watching Kenny Logan try and kick any conversion. Hilarious.

Edwin's comments: 'Pilo' seems to have a fight every morning between the comb and the mirror as the hair looks no different from one day to the next. He wears his Welsh ancestry with considerable pride, enjoying the attention he gets from his colleagues, especially as his native country are now Grand Slam Six Nations Champions.  I hope Twickenham will be as happy for him as it has been for his fellow Celts in 2008. Quiet, shy and retiring ... wait til I see him with a few beers in him!
