Some five years ago, we identified that there was a continuing number of parents and families who wanted to use their children's overseas long haul sports tours as the base for the family holiday. As they were an addition to the tour, it seemed wrong that they should be a part of the increasing number of problems a tour manager had to face. We therefore created a new unit to specifically look after them.
Ann Martin puts her many years of experience working in a variety of fields within the travel industry to good advantage. She will be delighted to make the travel arrangements for families of children travelling on tour, ensuring compatibility with the school itinerary, where required.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:
Gill Fisher joined us 5 years ago as a Clerical Assistant to our Retail Department, and has gradually taken on additional responsibilities for other departments. As well as co-ordinating the collection of the Health & Safety documentation for our sports tours, Gill's latest conquest has been as Content Manager for this new website.
ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT:
We have a trio of individual ladies in our Accounts department. As we are a fully committed company, we would not want to leave out anybody who contributes to our successful operation.
Karen Woodfine (aka Jester because of her colourful collection of clothes) is another member of our strong minded ladies brigade. If she doesn't think it's right, you'll need plenty of time to convince her, and you'd be unlikely to win! Highly organised and particularly well informed, especially when it comes to foreign exchange.
Marion Broek was actually born in Essex but went to South Africa at an early age where she learnt the dedication to efficiency which is the hallmark to her work as she constantly seeks to always have a clear desk at the end of every day.
Lindsay de Cort is very deceptive until you sit down to talk to her about accounts and accounts systems. She gives you this impression of being a timid little thing. And then BANG. She is an unbelievable mine of information and has established some quite brilliant systems which allow us to operate much more efficiently.
