My role is co-ordinating tours to the Southern Hemisphere, Pacific and the Far East regions.

I first worked in travel in 1968 and then lived and worked in South Africa for 6 years. Following a break to nurture one daughter during the first five years of her life, I got back onto the treadmill by joining EDST.

I enjoy watching sport, especially rugby, golf, and tennis but I'm thinking about taking up bowls.  My favourite sportsperson is Jonny Wilkinson, even though I'm old enough to be his mother (and wish I was). I'm still looking for my favourite holiday destination, but probably South Africa or a lodge by one of the many lakes near Algonquin National Park in Ontario. I've just started cruising so watch this space.

All time favourite sporting moment: Watching England win the 2003 World Cup at home with friends and cracking open a bottle of champagne.

Most satisfying experience working for EDT: Touring New Zealand with three of our groups (not all at the same time) and seeing how well everything ran and how much the staff and students were enjoying the experience - even when they didn't win.

We are very lucky to have a collection of people who have worked with the company for quite some time. They are the backbone of the company. Marion is one of them, as well as being one of our more strong minded female employees. We appear to have quite a few, and don't we love them all for it. We think it gives them that extra dimension when it comes to (persuading) bullying suppliers into giving us what we want for our customers. Marion is very determined. She is also most likely the last to leave the office as she seeks perfection with every tour.    Edwin
