After entering the world, my first port of call was to EDST HQ. So, no surprises that I have worked for Edwin Doran Sports Travel on and off for years, and in all different departments, destinations and offices. After a gap year of travelling, I graduated with a 2:1 in Spanish, Drama and American Studies from The University of Manchester. A little more travelling continued before properly settling down at EDST.
I love sport, especially rugby. After many years as a rugby spectator and fan, I put on my own rugby boots and played for my university side. I am now in my fourth season for Teddington Antlers Ladies and also play county rugby for Middlesex. I am a massive Jonny Wilkinson fan (well who wouldn't be?!) and am still waiting for him to come by and give me some fly half tips!! Aside from rugby I also love scuba diving, skiing and tennis as well as the odd adrenaline sport and have done nine bungy jumps and two sky dives!!
All time favourite sporting moment: England winning the 2003 World Cup. Also watching my brother, Tom, play for Ireland U18's and at Twickenham, and then finally putting on an England shirt for England Counties.
Most satisfying experience working for EDT: The SAA strike of July 2005, although it was hell on earth at the time.
"It is unfair to comment on a daughter who shares so many of your characteristics i.e. the bad ones! She has a passion for her job and her sport, being particularly knowledgeable about rugby. Travel is an important part of her life ... she has done quite a bit, some at my expense. She really enjoys meeting her tour managers setting up the correct basis for future working relationships to ensure each tour is the best there has ever been. She can be a bit of a worrier. Beating the boys at anything is a constant challenge, especially drinking games! I wouldn't say she's a feminist, but more of a strong minded female.
