On Saturday, 3 May, Tom Doran (male heir of the gaffer) claimed a unique double.

Just returning to top level rugby having lost a season due to neck operations to a nerve problem in his neck, Tom won the Surrey 7’s with his club at the end of April and the Middlesex Club 7’s with his university, St Mary’s.

He is now set to play at Twickenham for the third time in his life when St Mary’s proudly take their place in the main tournament with all the professional clubs.
