New passport regulations are expected to particularly inconvenience 16 - 24 year olds as they travel independently from their parents for the first time.  Teenagers who have not previously held their own individual passports will have to face an interview at one of 69 local Identity and Passport Service offices around the country, and could wait an average of six weeks to receive their new passports.
