Helping Others

One of the really great pleasing aspects of our business is the way our customers immerse themselves in fundraising to help others who are less fortunate. We have decided to dedicate this part of our new site to express our appreciation to those who have already contributed, as well as to attempt to persuade other customers to demonstrate future similar commitment.

Some customers may prefer to remain confidential and not to have their excellent deeds displayed publicly here. We respect their right to confidentiality as well as their significant contributions to improving other people's welfare.

If you wish your school to be featured here, we would be delighted and honoured to do so.  We need you to give us the details, and the story, of your contribution, including photographs so that we can present your efforts to maximum advantage. It may be that you already feature your donation on your school site. We'd be pleased  to provide a link to your site.

As a company, we are really proud to facilitate our customers who want to improve other people's livelihoods. It is quite heart wrenching to visit locations where our customers contributions have benefited local people. Whilst we have a number of favourite projects we continue to recommend, we continue to look for new ventures.

We are actively involved in giving donations ourselves.  Our MD, Edwin Doran, coaches the Epsom College Under 15's. His remuneration for this job goes directly to LEAP School in South Africa: www.leapschool.org.za.

Edwin is also involved in an organisation which brings in underprivileged children from many parts of the world to the UK for a sports tour.  TourAid (www.touraid.org) is a UK organisation set up for this purpose. The launch plans for November 2005 arranged for teams from Moldova, Serbia and Uganda to come to the UK. The Ugandans played at Twickenham as a curtain raiser for the England v South Africa game.

If your enquiry through our website leads to your travelling with us, we will make a very respectable contribution to Tour Aid's funds. That's a promise.

Andrew Loughlin, Matt Constable and Georgia Doran are actively involved with The Goedgedacht Trust (www.goedgedachttrust.org.za).  Goedgedacht is an old Cape Dutch farm situated on the slopes of the Kasteelberg, just 87km north- west of  Cape Town. The farm was one of the first allocated to the 'Free Burghers' in 1704 and is steeped in the history of the old Cape Colony. However, times have changed and Goedgedacht is now a busy community development centre from where a determined effort is being made to make a real contribution to the new South Africa.  More details to follow shortly.
