Only two short hours drive North of Johannesburg lies the African wonder that is Mabula Private Game Reserve. This 12,000 hectares of malaria-free reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife and birds, including the world famous 'Big 5'.
Highly qualified game rangers with years of experience and knowledge expertly handle all activities. Home to 300 bird species, 60 mammals, 100 plant types and numerous reptile and insect species, from the 'Big 5' ~ elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard ~ to the 'Small 5' ~ Ant lion, leopard tortoise, buffalo weaver, elephant shrew and rhino beetle.
Morning and evening game drives are highlights, then sipping sundowners as you watch a spectacular African sunset, gather round the 'braai' for a bush BBQ, or take an informative bush walk with highly professional and experienced game rangers.
Mabula Game Lodge offers a traditional outdoor experience for visitors wanting to brave the African wild, and together with the Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp, guests have the chance to get up close and personal with nature and encounter a new dimension in bush life.
