I visited South America to evaluate the standard of local opposition offered in South America, as well as the quality of the sporting venues in which the games are played.  I also wanted to see for himself the accommodation offered to visiting sports groups at several locations in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.

I met up with several of the ground handlers we use in South America, as well as being able to spend time with several school groups who were touring at the time, an exercise I found invaluable and hugely informative.

 

Visiting Santiago and Vina del Mar in Chile, I saw several of the hotels we have used in the past and found them to be of an excellent standard.  In Montevideo, Uruguay, I was impressed by the accommodation and transportation services offered, as well as the standard of opposition available, and concluded that Montevideo would be a great place to visit for a couple of days as an add-on to a tour to Argentina. 

I found the experience on the Great Adventure Tour at the Iguassu Falls fabulous, an excursion not to be missed!  I also visited Salta, Cordoba and Tucuman, and found that the sporting facilities and post-match hospitality offered by the host sides was of good quality. 

As always, Buenos Aires offered plenty in the way of sights to see and things to keep visitors entertained, and some superb accommodation that would well suit our groups.
